What brand of sunscreen should you buy? Is flavored yogurt toxic? What’s the deal with seed oils? Should you really wash rice multiple times before cooking? There are questions you’ve been wondering about and there are questions you’ve never thought to ask – and that’s why, after a two and a half year hiatus, I’m so excited to finally bring back The Clean Living Podcast for Season Two.

I’m Shannon Lohr and I’m an entrepreneur, mom of two little kids and a sustainability advocate. I started The Clean Living Podcast in 2020 as a “pandemic project” that quickly gained traction from friends, family, clients, colleagues and friendly strangers on the internet. I never expected a side project to earn over 30,000 downloads, with dozens of five star reviews, and even get my dad to stop buying scented trash bags.

But if there’s anything the past three years have taught us, it’s that… life happens. I got busy growing my business, Factory45, and then… growing another human – I gave birth to my daughter last year. But through all of that, I couldn’t stop thinking about this podcast… about all of the research I wanted to share with you… and all of the things I’ve been learning about what we put in and on our bodies.

If you haven’t listened to Season One yet, you have two weeks to go back and catch up before Season Two starts on September 13th. I covered everything from food dyes to deodorant to kids clothing, and every episode is less than 10 minutes long so that you can listen while you’re folding laundry or driving to school pickup.

Next week I’m going to share a teaser of what’s in store for season two, so that we’re ready to start taking charge of the toxins, pollutants and health in our own families. We’ll continue to explore how to live a more sustainable life without guilt, shame or overwhelm – and without breaking the bank.

So grab a friend, an accountability partner or share this with someone who’s interested in cleaner living. We’re going to go back into your kitchens, your closets and even your bedrooms. I’ll tell stories, I’ll make sarcastic comments and we’ll feel like we’re picking up right where we left off.

Until then, click the subscribe button wherever you get your podcasts so that you don’t miss an episode. I’m so glad to be back and I’m honored to have your ear.
